note:  Cavacaselle (1882) gave the right half to Giulio Romano (as well as the group of women) and the left to Giovanni da Udine, with the Papal entourage being Raphael's creation.Ddel Vecchi (1982) notes that the porters of the Pope at the left bear the likenesses of Marcantonio Raimondi and Giulio Romano (and served as the basis for Vasari's portraits of the artists); Raphael is perhaps the additional figure.
